Since…so long, I can’t remember when… living a healthy lifestyle became the most fashionable thing to do.
Instagram is full of healthy salad pictures. When friends going out, the café is no longer in the picture instead is a yoga class full of BFFs, and everybody is watching the videos to learn how to make a homemade healthy green smoothie.
So, in this “everybody, move your body” environment, people turn to wearing gym clothes everywhere to pretend that they are on their way to the gym. And I remember this started in 2015 when we saw celebrities doing street shoots all wearing gym clothes and carrying luxury brands bags.
Well, for them, they were probably faking it, but for this article, I aim to recommend gym bags you can actually use when you really plan to go to the gym.
I always carry a lot of stuff when I’m going to the gym, so my requirement for a good gym bag is BIG and light. For this reason, I won’t recommend the beautiful Louis Vuitton Keepall bag displayed above.
I know it looks cool, stylish and big enough, however, it was so light itself and after all the things you put in, it becomes too heavy to carry. And if you don’t put enough things into this bag, it won’t look as good as when it is full and nicely shaped. Another thing I don’t really like is that the Monogram canvas isn’t soft enough.
Longchamp
For all the brands I used for all these years, Longchamp and Balenciaga are the two brands using the softest and lightest leather. Between these two brands, I prefer Longchamp to use as a gym bag, mainly from a price perspective. With the softest sheepskin leather, the simple, classic look and less than half of the price, Longchamp is definite the winner of this battle.

If you don’t want to spend much on a gym bag, this Nylon material one is an alternative option. It is light, water resistant and very durable, and because you can choose from a selection of colours as varied as a rainbow, you will find one you like. Most of us like to go all black when going to the gym, so pick a light colour gym bag to make sure your complete look won’t be too gloomy.

I quite like VS’s tote bag, because it is cheap and has every “cheesy” thing a girl ever wanted, pink glitter and heart shapes. You don’t really need to buy them, quite often their official website has the offer to give it to you for free once you purchase more than a certain amount but if you don’t want to spend more, Amazon has some good offers.
The design of the bag varies from time to time, so when you see they offer the bag you like, just go buy some gym clothes to match the bag.
