The Mario Badescu Hyaluronic eye cream is one of the most popular and well known beauty products the brand produces. This eye cream is lightweight and the texture actually reminds me a little bit of the Armani luminous silk foundation. With skin care brands the anti-ageing qualities are what usually attracts the most attention. I was drawn to the Hyaluronic eye cream because of it’s claim to be good at helping prevent your skin ageing prematurely.

There are no special ingredients and formulas in this eye cream that claim to stop and hide wrinkles but the ingredients focus on keeping and adding to the moisture around your eyes. Dry eyes look old and the sensitive and thin skin around your eyes can begin to age more quickly if it is left dry. I love that there is a gentle almost unnoticeable hint of aloe Vera scent because I always use aloe Vera after a day outdoors to protect and sooth my skin, it’s one of my favourite skin care ingredients, even though it’s name has been overused in the beauty industry for a long time.

If you have bags under your eyes and dark circles Mario Badescu Hyaluronic eye cream will soften the sensitive skin a little and with regular use should help your skin look healthier and the dark circles reduce naturally. There is no magic formula as such, just a good quality moisturiser that keeps it simple with the right ingredients that help your skin to stay moist and that in turn makes your eyes look a bit younger and more vibrant. Getting some extra sleep and keeping hydrated with some water before bed will also make a big difference. If you have dry skin this is the most suitable eye cream for you, but even if you have oily or combination skin it shouldn’t increase the oils and you may also benefit from it.

Mario Badescu Glycolic Eye Cream

Mario Badescu claim that their Glycolic eye cream will join forces with you against the age old skin wrinkle enemy and those challenging fine lines we never like to see. This eye cream is thicker than the hyaluronic cream which makes it ideal for night time use.

I like this rich blend that includes plenty of vitamin E and olive leaf. The thicker formula includes a blend of the nourishing and rich cocoa butter which is full of moisture and helps soften wrinkles a little.

Because the consistency of the glycolic eye cream is so thick and oily you only need to apply a small amount for it to last a long time. If you have dry skin you can apply a little more but for regular skin a tiny amount is enough to soften and moisturise your skin without making it oily.

Mario Badescu Ceramide eye gel

This ceramide eye gel reminds me of the Aloe Vera gels often used to soothe and cool your skin after a day in the sun. If you like the feel of a gel that is lightweight and will sooth and have a gentle cooling effect on the sensitive skin around your eyes, then this is a good choice. The cooling effect can also help to reduce any puffy skin below your eye lid.

If you have sensitive skin this is definitely one of the best Mario Badescu eye creams to try first because it’s so light and gentle on your skin. Like the glycolic eye cream, this option is also best used at night because it is difficult to apply makeup on whilst using it during the day because the gel is a little sticky and stays on your skin for a long time.

Mario Badescu Olive eye cream

Olive oil is well known for having many benefits for your health, usually related to cooking. Olive oil also has numerous benefits for your skin, especially with it being a strong antioxidant, full of vitamins and good at moisturising your skin.

As you might expect with a combination of olive leaf, cocoa butter and beeswax this is an oily eye cream that is also best applied to your skin and left to do it’s work while you sleep. I wouldn’t recommend you wear this underneath your makeup because of the high oil content. It can be used with oily skin but is best for sensitive and dry skin. This is another eye cream that has some good anti ageing qualities.

Mario Badescu Chamomile Eye cream

This Chamomile blend is a good choice for sensitive skin. If the skin underneath your eyes is particularly dry this will help to add moisture to it for a long time. I like the thickness of this blend is another good option for night time use. Usually I like to drink my chamomile in tea but lots of my friends love chamomile skin care products. For me, I prefer aloe vera and olive leaf but chamomile doesn’t have any negative effects on my skin so I believe this product won’t irritate the sensitive skin on your eyelids and around your eyes.

Best Mario Badescu eye cream for dark circles

The hyaluronic eye cream I introduced above is my first choice for any of you mature and beautiful ladies that are trying to reduce dark circles around your eyes. Dark circles never want to leave quickly, even after a few good nights sleep, so using the hyaluronic cream during the day and then using one of the thicker night time options while you sleep will give you the best results when fighting those unwanted dark circles.

Our favourite Mario Badescu eye cream for wrinkles

The glycolic eye cream is one of the best for adding a lot of moisture around your eyes while you sleep and preventing your under eye area drying out. Trying to reduce your dark circles is very similar to dealing with wrinkles and the thick glycolic eye cream formula is perfect for stopping moisture escaping with it’s olive leaf formula blend. If you are serious about preventing wrinkles getting worse, I would also use the light hyaluronic eye cream during the day so your delicate under eye area is protected with a moisturising and protective cream at all times.

Final thoughts – How to choose the best Mario Badescu eye cream for your skin

Choosing the best Mario Badescu products for your eyes should now be a little easier. Most of the brands eye creams have some form of anti ageing quality and the main focus is always on making sure there are plenty or hydrating and moisturising ingredients in each formula for overnight skin moisturising.

One way to choose more easily is to look at the main ingredients and choose an option that has already been proven to work on your skin. If you like Aloe Vera and have seen it benefit your skin in other products then choose it again, or if you find olive extracts don’t irritate your sensitive skin or acne then choose that option. It can be good to experiment as well and over time once you’ve tried lots of different formulas you’ll begin to find combinations and individual ingredients that work best with your skin type.

Whichever Mario Badescu eye cream you choose for your skin care regimen be sure to apply a small amount first and gradually build up the amount you use once you are happy that it doesn’t irritate your skin. Most of the brands eye creams are suitable for all skin types but it is always a good idea to introduce new face and skin care products into you beauty routine gradually and always be aware of any reactions your skin might be having to the ingredients in the product.
