Natasha Denona – Natasha Denona eye shadow palettes.

Natasha Denona is a talented self-taught makeup artist who combined her experience with makeup as a dancer, and from her lab sessions with her chemist mother, to make high-quality makeup for all. Her brand preaches hard work and passion, it is no wonder Natasha Denona instantly gained a cult following.

Her eyeshadow palettes are extremely popular and described as incredibly blendable, beginner friendly, comfortable, and exquisitely pigmented; all the things you’d hope for in an eye shadow. Natasha’s eye shadow palettes are also incredibly diverse, supporting her statement that her makeup is for every woman.

Her Metropolis palette, for example, his rich in variety, but remains earthy and toned down. The odd blue or yellow eyeshadow add a pop of color without being too vibrant.

Alternatively, Natasha Denona’s Love palette is wonderfully pink and purple, with some shades rocking the glitter, and others leaning towards the sexier, darker, and matt.

There is also a wide range of sizes when it comes to Natasha’s eyeshadow palettes. You can get small 5 shaded palettes, medium sized 15 shaded palettes, or even larger 28 shaded palettes.

Another recent favourite of mine is the Sunset palette. This is a signature collection of matte, duo chrome, metallic and chroma crystal finishes on a range of tones that evoke the atmosphere a setting sun as you begin an exciting night out.

In a similar fashion to the metropolis collection each colour shade is toned down with no vibrant stand out tones, but instead a blend of tones that are sophisticated with calm bronze, mandarin and gold overtones. This collection is easy to apply with a soft oval make up brush.

A closer look at Pat Mcgrath and her eye shadow collection

Pat McGrath coined the Mother of Makeup, is another powerhouse and badass woman, that has destroyed the barriers and boundaries of the beauty industry, for she has no boundaries.

She is seen as one of the most influential people of the beauty industry in the world. Her experience is wild, she has developed and conceptualised countless luxury makeup brands, editorial spreads, and runway shows.

Pat McGrath, together with photographer Steve Meisel, is responsible for every single Vogue Italia cover and lead editorial issue. Her makeup is bold, her colors are vibrant.

Her eyeshadow shades are beautiful, ranging from matt, to shimmery, to metallic. Some are complex and multicolored, others are simple and delicate.

Pat McGrath’s Rose Decadence Eye Trio eyeshadow palette, for example, looks like the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen. With subtle peachy tones, and earthy shimmery bronze, and vibrant gold, this palette is brimming with exciting combos and interesting uses.

Her marketing is top notch, different, and exciting. Her Mothership VIII: Divine Rose II palette is mind-blowingly unique. Extra-terrestrial and futuristic themed, Pat McGrath makes aliens sexy with insanely cool colours that feel otherworldly. Metallics, multidimensional shines, and glimmering finishes, this unique palette is worth the extra dollars.

While Pat McGrath’s brand is most definitely tailored towards the luxurious and professional/high fashion crowd, it does this by pushing boundaries and allowing people to embrace their inner weird and wonderful. She is changing the narrative of what high fashion is, and that is a brand we should all get behind.

Natasha Denona and Pat Mcgrath eyeshadow price comparison

Both these gorgeous luxury brands create incredibly unique aesthetically pleasing blends of picturesque colour tones that compliment the brands individual, bold and creative designs.

When you buy one of these ladies eye shadows you are paying partly for the luxury brands name, where you know you are getting a luscious product of the highest quality but also the many years of experience each makeup artist has spent creating and learning about which tones of colour work well together and give us the ultimate one of a kind palette we always dreamed of applying.

Pat Mcgrath’s smaller sized palettes of between 4 and 6  colour tones are usually for sale at between $30 and $70 and her collections like the Mothership VIII collection will cost you over $100 for 10 colour tones.

Natasha Denona eye shadows are available to buy for a similar price range but the palettes are often available with a lot of different colour choices. Some of the brands 4 tone palettes cost even more than $50 for the ultimate sun kissed skin palette.

The gorgeous metropolis palette has 28 colours and you can usually find it for sale at a great value price for such a large collection of radiant tones.

The difference between Pat Mcgrath vs Natasha Denona colour tones

Pat Mcgrath eye shadow tones are the most creative and bold especially with the fantastic mothership collection that is weird and wonderful while still appealing to the high fashion crowd at the pinnacle of the beauty industry.

One of the most adventurous eye shadow quads released by the brand is the Blitz astral quad with a nocturnal nervana eye shadow palette. The collection wow’s with a Vivid turquoise tone that would shine on any catwalk.

Duochrome emerald is another wacky and bold tone offering a contrast between the vivid purple sheen and glittering golden sparkle that make up this 4 tone palette.

Natasha Denona has so many different palettes with a whole range of colour tones. Even with a massive variety to choose from the brand like to focus on earthy natural tones with some sparkle to lighten them up a little.

The metropolis palettes is very much earthy but a small number of yellow and blue tones that are a little more colourful offer the perfect contrast hat balances out the neutral earthy bronze tones.

Natasha Denona offer a wider range of colours and larger collections but Pat Mcgrath offers more unique and interesting tones. Both brands offer a very high quality of colour choices. I feel that Pat Mcgrath has the better glittery eye shadow tones and Natasha offers the most elegant and perfectly created colours.

A final summary of Pat Mcgrath vs Natasha Denona eye shadows.

I love both of these luxury eye shadow brands. If I had to choose a favourite palette I’d choose the metropolis palette but the rose decadence palette is absolutely beautiful and enchanting.

With the prices of the two brands eye shadows quite similar and the quality exceptionally high, it really comes down to whether you like to wear a wacky and creative eye shadow with Pat Mcgrath or a more sophisticated and less adventurous tone with Natasha Denona.
