A Review of Cle De Peau Foundations ( Best choices)
I love Cle De Peau foundations and I think you will enjoy trying out this brands luscious selection of liquid, powder and cream foundations that are just as luxurious as my favourite Armani and Dior foundations.
Cle De Peau Cream Foundation SPF 26

With this cream foundation, Cle De Peau Beaute have sculptured a velvet smooth, super light foundation that somehow still manages mid to full coverage. It’s easy to be fooled by the simplicity of the packaging when choosing this foundation, but don’t be. Sometimes the most luxurious beauty products hide away in the plainest packaging of all.
Creamy is probably the best word I can use to describe the texture of this foundation formula. You’ll notice when applying with your finger tips that the texture feels very much like a moisturiser and in many ways this exemplary potion makes you feel like you are experiencing a tinted moisturiser that also has SPF 26 sun protection to block some of those harmful rays from ageing your skin.
A blend of green tea and Ginkgo Biloba provide your skin with some nutritious antioxidants and the quality non-natural ingredients seem to work well on both oily, dry and sensitive skin, even though I usually advice against a moisturising formula with oily skin, this blend is light and nourishing.
I like to apply a pea sized squeeze of the formula. A precision shaped tip and luscious silky smooth formula allow for a small amount of the foundation to cover a lot of your face. The price of this Cle De Peau Foundation is high but the quality and reputation is very high and one 25 ml tube lasts me for many months. I’m not an everyday foundation wearer, I like to give my skin time to breathe and to apply my different natural skin care and repair formulas but I feel this foundation has been one of my favourite additions to my skin care routine before applying my luxury eye shadow palettes. Cle De Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation

The radiant fluid foundation is Cle De Peau’s finest liquid foundation that offers a light to medium coverage. It feels like you aren’t wearing any makeup at all when you apply the radiant fluid foundation because the liquid is a little more moist and lighter than the cream foundation.
One of my favourite foundations is the Armani Luminous silk foundation which is also very light. Being so light is often a concern if you have blemishes or red patches on your face and like to hide them away with your foundation. If you apply the radiant fluid foundation a little more liberally you can achieve coverage that is a little more than medium. This will reduce how obvious most blemishes are but won’t make them disappear.
I personally don’t wear foundation to hide away all the features of my face and skin which is why I love this light liquid foundation. It is almost transparent and manages to smooth out the appearance of your skin while maintaining the natural skin look that is so easy on the eyes.
I decided to apply my Cle De Peau radiant fluid foundation with my oval makeup brush. An oval brush helps you create that smooth and even coverage and work towards that streak free finish, even in the hard to reach areas of your face around your nose and eyes. With this being a liquid foundation it is easy to apply with most makeup brushes and your fingers. You’ll benefit most from this formula in the colder winter months or during dry weather when the extra hydration and moisture on your skin helps stop it drying out.
Cle De Peau Radiant fluid foundation review summary
|Formula: The radiant fluid foundation formula is a liquid foundation with a watery and oily base. One of the key ingredients is a chestnut rose fruit extract that can help to soften your skin and add a little extra moisture. The main formula is a scientific creation that Cle de peau call an illuminating complex because it aims to maintain your natural skin tones while adding an extra gentle glow on top. A daily matching powder is another scientific creation added to this formula that will apparently respond and adjust to your skin tone changes. In my opinion I think that this is just the natural development of the formula over time while you wear it throughout the day as it seems to settle in nicely after a few hours and stays on your skin all day.
Consistency: The consistency of the radiant fluid foundation is very moist and not very dense. Because of the watery consistency the foundation spreads widely so you can apply a thin layer over your whole face and create a silky smooth light medium coverage with ease.
Coverage: Coverage is light to medium but is build-able to above medium coverage, just be sure to apply a little at a time or the formula will cake.
Colour tone choices:
020 – Light ochra.
B10 – Very light biege.
B20 – Light Beige
050 – Deep ochra
B30 – Medium beige.
070 – Mahogany
080 – Deep mahogany.
Cle De Peau Radiant Cream Foundation
This popular radiant creme foundation is available in 12 shades ranging from fair to medium. There are currently no darker or deep shades in this formula. Cle De Peau claim this radiant cream foundation is a full coverage foundation but i’d say it’s closer to medium. I think for a beauty brand to develop full coverage foundation that still shows off the visible variations in your own skin tone isn’t easy which is why the radiant cream formula is good for building on to create a fuller coverage, rather than hiding your skins natural tones.
The radiant cream formula looks dewy on your skin and holds moisture in throughout your day, controlling oil production and absorbing excess oils. Because of the thick blend of ingredients and it’s ability to soak up moisture this is great for combo and oily skin types.
I like to be able to build up my foundation a little and this formula is reasonably build-able. Be sure not to add too much formula on first application as it can become cakey if you apply too much. Using a beauty blender or oval brush can help to smooth and sheer out the radiant creme foundation formula for a more even application. With heavier and thicker creme foundations like this, being able to apply the formula evenly to avoid streaking or clumpy sections is important.
Overall this radiant creme foundation is one of the most talked about in fashion circles over the last few years. The illuminating complex formula does seem to give your skin that nice glow while staying natural and not producing a heavy look. I like the silky oily consistency with a thick formula that doesn’t run and drip like a liquid and spreads evenly and widely across your face with a smooth medium coverage finish, just be sure to follow the application instructions and then adjust depending on your desired look and skin type.

Is Cle De Peau Foundation Worth The Money?
Luxury foundations aren’t cheap and with many of these foundations priced above $100 you want to be sure you are choosing the right foundation that is worth the money for you. With the very best Cle De Peau foundations you are paying for the companies investment in the science and development of their special formulas.
It costs a lot of money to create formulas that attempt to help you achieve that perfectly smooth layer of foundation that also helps reduce oil and moisturise and protect your skin from the sun. The formula also has to be buildable and work alongside a variety of other makeup products and not fade away quickly. You are of course also paying for the high-end luxury brand’s name as well, which always bumps up the price of beauty products.
If you are looking for luxury foundations take a look at the Armani foundations I recently reviewed that offer a similar experience and a slightly lower price.
Final Thoughts about Cle De Peau foundation
These Cle de Peau foundations are some of the best luxury foundations. You can choose between their luxurious liquid and cream foundations that are known to last a long time on your skin. If you are looking for full coverage, the radiant cream foundation offers coverage that is more than medium coverage but still falls short of full coverage without a few applications and building upon it, which will result in the loss of some of your skins natural colour tones shining through.
If you like a light to medium coverage foundation with sun protection and that will moisturise your skin these foundations are all a good choice. My decisions about purchasing luxury foundations usually comes down to how it compares with what other brands offer for the same price and ultimately you need to try out a foundation and see how it works with your own skin type, skin care routine and find out whether it mixes and blends well with your other beauty products.
